BREACH BRINGS FINE
Failing to complete his community work service hours brought Robert I. Pattison to court in Princeton on September 14. Pattison, who is now working, paid toward his restitution, and received an additional $175 fine plus a $25 victim fine surcharge.WOMAN PAYS BIG FINE
Debra Lintick appeared in Provincial Court in Princeton on September 15th to plead guilty to a charge of possession of a controlled substance.On February 22, she had arrived in Princeton by bus and was under surveillance. She was arrested and searched. Police found 28 grams of cocaine in her possession.
Lintick had a prior conviction for possession of illicit drugs. On September 14, she was ordered to pay a $1,000 fine.
HEDLEY CAFE CRASH COSTS JAIL
Michael Henrich, who drove his car into the side of Nickel Plate Restaurant in Hedley on November 13, 2004, appeared in Provincial Court in Princeton for sentencing on September 14, 2005. Heinrich pled guilty earlier this year to an impaired driving charge and a pre-sentence report was prepared.Heinrich admitted to being an alcoholic but hoped to go to a recovery program in November. While Crown Counsel asked for a six month jail sentence and $800 restitution, Heinrich's lawyer argued for 45 days in jail.
Judge G. Sinclair ordered four months in jail, with 18 months probation to follow. The judge said Heinrich should be able to attend the recovery program in November.
