WHAT IF MY CROPS WITHER?
I poke friends every now and then. Sometimes I'll send them a note or post something on their wall. I rarely turn down a friend request, but I'm not much into a lot of different apps.
I suck at Bejeweled Blitz and I suck at it a lot.
Brenda scores some pretty high points on it, which I often accuse her of cheating but after spending more time trying to score with flaming jewels and hyper jewels I have come to the conclusion it's not that easy to cheat at which makes it all that more obvious to me that I suck at it.
Mind you, I quite like Farkle and find myself usually in the top two of my friends who play that game.
I also find FarmVille interesting enough to work at it long enough to reach level 30 this past week. I showed it to Brenda and now she splits her time between Bejeweled Blitz and FarmVille. She's even gone so far as to manually record when her crops are ready to harvest so that she doesn't miss them and end up losing a crop to two to the dreaded wither fate.
I'm not that into it, but I will make sure to at least plant something that I can still harvest if I get too busy and miss a day or two on the farm.
Did I mention that I also poke people?
I'm not much for the super pokes, but nothing says Œhi, how are you' better than an unexpected poke every now and then.
Brenda doesn't get the whole concept of poking. I tried more than once to explain it to her but she just didn't seem all that interested in any of it until she discovered Bejeweled Blitz. Oh, she also likes Bubble Popp, which I can't bring myself to load.
I also ignore a lot of the daily notifications I get because I view them as an endless stream of spam I can't spend a few minutes on. I'd rather put that time to something like, well, Farkle. That is, unless I get dice that don't roll my way at all. I've quit a game only a few rounds in just because of the bad rolls.
Oh, and I'd rather sell off trees than plant them since I now have more than enough trees on my farm. The same goes for assorted other farm animals and implements I figure already have enough of.
But at least Brenda will check with me in the morning to see what free gift I'd like her to send and she'll also tell me what she'd like me to send back to her.
So far, it's worked out rather well for us.
And we also get a lot of work done at the office between flaming jewels, bonus rounds and harvesting or plowing crops.
Did I mention I also tweet a lot? Probably a lot less than the average but more than Brenda. In fact, I don't think she's tweeted much at all.
Or if she has, it's not to me.
Hmmm. Next time I see her online I'll have to send her an IM or open up a chat window to ask her. I could just go into the next room and ask her, but what's the point in that if I can poke her instead?
