DON'T READ THIS EDITORIAL!
We chuckle whenever we hear the suggestion that no one reads the paper in Princeton.
It was a reoccurring theme at one meeting we attended last week. "There's hardly anyone here because nobody reads the paper!"
Then later in the very same meeting a decision was made to submit articles, notices and advertising to the paper in an effort to get the word out about some real important issue that YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT!
We'd explain what it was all about, but if you really bothered to follow the instructions at the start of this Oarticle' (HINT: The Headline told you NOT TO READ THIS) we'd just be wasting ink on something you, and apparently a lot of other people, aren't going to see anyway.
So, why exactly are you reading this?
Could it be because our instructions weren't clear enough? Maybe the Headline should have been DON'T YOU DARE READ THIS or READING THIS IS NOT A GOOD IDEA or PLEASE, DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER or DANGER: KNOWLEDGE AHEAD AVOID IF POSSIBLE or READING THIS MAY BE DANGEROUS TO YOUR HEALTH orS
There is a point here.
The fact that we suggested you don't read this made you WANT to read it even more. What's that tell you?
Let's expand on that fact.
DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER!
If a big company came to your town and said they were going to build a plant of some kind upstream from your house and create a source of energy using natural resources in a method that may produce some residual waste and that you needn't worry about it because there would be some jobs and the plant would have about a 40-year lifespan and those emissions would be pretty small in the overall scheme of things and did we mention there would be some jobs included in the equation? would you be interested in finding out more or would you just roll over and play dead until someone pointed out that maybe this company might not be telling you the whole story?
There is a way to have your voice heard but DON'T READ ANY FURTHER! RUN AWAY! DO NOT READ THIS!
