LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
- June 03, 2008

To The Editor,

U.S.Senator Obama has the presence and speaks like a President with words that the world used to expect and look up to from the world's former leading democratic country and light of freedom. Senator McCain, in ridiculing Senator Obama's age, lack of experience and patriotism.

Senator McCain is playing and exploiting his heroism card much the same way President Bush uses the 9/11 fear card. Sadly, this diminishes Senator McCain's stature who is unfortunately still fighting the Viet Nam war as is presently done in the senior citizens rest home.

His (P.T.S.?) memory lapse conveniently omits it was his generation's wisdom and experience that has the U.S.A. and the world in the intractable obscene Iraq dilemma.

Why are the old in such a rush to make wars that cripple an eliminate their young?

Why should we locally be concerned? A U.S. President affects our lumber industry, the price of gas at the pump and what happens to our military in the middle east but most of all if we are blown off the planet to Mars and most of us just don't want to go yet.

Certainly the world needs clear headed, knowledgeable, responsible leaders.

Thus we proudly congratulate the Princeton 2008 Senior Secondary Graduates.

Your parents nurtured you. Your community cared for you. Your effort got you here. Your country needs you. May all your wishes be realized.

- Joe Schwarz, Princeton
