LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
- July 29, 2008
To The Editor;
Living in London, England and New York City as a journalist I find The Leader is my weekly escape to a world that hardly seems to exist anymore.
I was raised in Princeton from a family that go back to the days of Blakeburn and the heydays of Granite Creek and Coalmont.
I would just like to say, from a professional perspective, what a great job your little online paper does. To me it conveys the wonderful sense of community involvement and time donated free by many of its residents.
Whenever I need cheering up I go online and read your paper!

The following is a copy of another letter delivered to Town Council regarding the Tulameen River dike.
Town of Princeton;
In my letter to you dated July 14, 2008 you have refused to notify everyone that the dike in private property and to put up a barrier on Town land and post the entrance to the dike as No Public Access.
You have also refused to put a sidewalk up on Tulameen Avenue from the wooden bridge to Dewdney Street to protect the kids and moms with strollers and seniors, etc.
I would like you to account for this along with the fact that tax increases by the Town of Princeton of over 50 percent since last year.
Your refusal to put up a barrier also allows the motorcycle riders and quad riders to continue to use town property and cause problems and the liability of someone getting hurt comes up due to your neglect to put a stop to this.
After talking to an insurance company all property owners will have to post and fence the dike as they are now legally liable if anyone gets hurt on private property as they have not fenced it to stop Public Access.
I look forward to your reply regarding how this problem can be rectified.
- Keath George, Princeton
