To The Editor;
RE: A lesson in Leadership
by Randy McLean
Just a short comment regarding the statement 'others will want your job.'
The thought that entered my mind was that three years ago nobody wanted it except Randy McLean. If people were so satisfied and things were going so well, why then do we have three others wanting the position?
I seriously doubt it is for the reasons perceived by our present Mayor.
Another thought: I seriously doubt that any of the others are pursuing it because the want a JOB, but, rather an opportunity to serve the citizens of this town.
I'm confident that Princeton will make a wise choice on November 15th.

The Editor;
I am going to vote for Gerri Logan in the upcoming election.
I don't want to have no hope of attracting any new business enterprises. Every time a new enterprise is interested in our community we have no hope of them coming to our community.
I believe Gerri is doing a good job for us. She is always accessible for our concerns. Gerri is doing her best.
I don't want to feel hopeless after the election.

Dear Editor;
Without Prejudice
Experience versus Change:
While change has to start somewhere, experience should make things easy.
In noting this paper and Letters to The Editor, in some cases support the incumbents running for Municipal office.
I personally see experienced councils who have not done their job properly, in my opinion. Example: Mayor Randy McLean at the end of this term has served 18 years - 9 years as Councillor and 9 years as Mayor. Councillor Jim Manion 9 years as Councillor, Councillor Ray Jarvis 6 years as Councillor.
That is 33 years of combined municipal office experience. Princeton is still waiting for a proper and an appropriate bylaw budget to back up both a full time bylaw officer and to enforce Princeton's bylaws and animal control.
These councillors and Mayor Randy McLean have both voted on and passed into law these same bylaws that today are still not up and running properly. If it takes this long with these councillors and mayor to get things done, God help Princeton.
I could be corrected on the number of years served by above council and mayor. If so, I apologize.
- Don Fleming, Princeton
Dear Editor;
I so enjoy reading your paper, and learn so much from it.
Dawn Johnson is a prize and meaningful writer and Nick Mills always astounds me with the history of this nation.
Those poor kids and the chocolate bars sure got the rough end, all in the name of communism.
I loved reading about the watch dog and how he is watching what happens on the farm of
'Princeton' short and sweet, but ankle-biting to the point!
It is so good to see everyone who has offered themselves to public service and just shows what a great place and concern of the people, Princeton has. I won't comment on your elections as I am not from there, and other than one or two gents faces I really don't know of anyone!
But I will say that if Solana gets an opportunity, it seems she will do Princeton a good service.
"Kids first!" They are your future! And if you don't want them running away to big cities for good, treat them well from where they are from. Some will go and become doctors and return to practice there because they will remember someone cared.
With that in mind, Princeton being one of the prettiest and friendly towns in BC, any kid with good memories would be attracted back.
Anyone who can vote should get out there and VOTE! But, remember what Professor Cornel West once said (when you cast your vote) and see if the person you vote for fits his statement - "You cannot lead the people if you do not love the people" and "You cannot save the people if you do not serve the people."
The best leader will be the one you know can love and serve you!
Go VOTE!
