To The Editor:
To the attention of Town Council and Low-Income Housing
There is secure and affordable housing for seniors and other low-income residents already in Princeton. Nothing has been done to let people know this is at River's Edge Apartments, just across the brown bridge in Princeton.
A fence was put up on the property to stop the drug deals and other problems. This has put a stop to this and has cleaned up other problems as well. Now this is a quite secure building.
Also, half of the apartments have been repaired and cleaned up and painted and are in good shape with the maximum rent in the building being only $500.00 per month for an apartment which has been completely redone with new appliances.
There is no need for more low-income housing in this town until all the current apartments and suites are rented.
I have been asked by other investors about this town and have told them not to invest in Princeton due to many problems. One of them now owns an apartment building somewhere else after walking away from Princeton. If Council wants to know the reasons I will sit down one-on-one and tell them why.
As long as the false rumours continue no investor will take a chance and invest in Princeton with the current problems and climate the way it is today.
I have had people come up to me personally for a place to rent including a person who is disabled with two pensions who now rents an apartment in the building for $400.00 per month.
Should you need a place to rent I can be reached through this newspaper office.
