To The Editor:
Sir,
Gone with their own wind are the Federal Liberal, N.D.P., and Quebecois parties. Now transformed into the new Canadian Salvation Party. They will stand guard on Canada with self empowerment as their compass and Owe' will reap the whirlwind.
A lost loonie, cuts in industry, jobs, education, health care, pensions and social services etc. Quite a Christmas present for the Canadian people by the three Ottawa Wise Men of the Canadian Salvation Party.
It would be a better gift had they made mandatory the ancient study of
'Logic' into our education system obviously lost long ago to our great peril. But then how could they possibly recognize it?
Never mind singing 'God Save The Queen," she's doing fine. We better start singing "God Save Canada," ---- from itself.
Though 'tis the season, sadly, no reason to sing ------ "God Bless You Merry Gentlemen."
Regards ,
Joe Schwarz, Princeton
To The Editor;
Basics For Babys (sic) is now delivering to families in need this holiday season. Please give generously to this worthy cause as it may be helping a friend or neighbour that you may know.
Diapers, food, clothing and toys are needed for all ages. I have seen first hand how helpful and happy it has made a needy family.
Please donate to the various drop boxes located around town.

To The Editor:
The troubles in parliament were brought on by Harper's arrogance in submitting very controversial (but not imperative) legislation at a time when immediate attention must be focused on the economy, jobs, infrastructure, new eco-friendly industries, affordable housing, etc.
This irresponsible and autocratic behaviour by Harper has caused such concern in the opposition that they have proposed a coalition which has a plan to help Canadians get through the impending social meltdown with the least hardship and damage.
Although this coalition would not be as effective as a 'Proportional Representation' government (which would include a number of voting Greens), it would be far better than waiting for Harper to get his priorities straight or maybe orders from Washington.
Very concerned,
J. W. Noppe, Princeton
