PRINCETON HOST ATOMS

by Clint Clifton, Ref-in-Chief

Princeton Minor Hockey

In the past Princeton has had the opportunity to host the 'AAA' Pee Wee Quebec qualifying hockey tournament. Unfortunately due to indifferences the locale of that event has been changed.

This year though the opportunity has arisen again to host the 'AAA' Atom camp. A total of 120 of the best eight to ten year old hockey players in the province from communities all over BC will converge on Princeton April 4th to 5th to showcase their talent.

Local Atom player Laine French was chosen as one of those players. French will have a chance to hone his skill with this elite group, we wish him the best!

Also, local hockey player Nicholas Yee, a member of the Penticton 'AAA' Midget Vees, travelled to Jaun de Fuca recently to play in the Provincial Midget Championships. Penticton went 6-0 to capture the provincial crown.

For many hockey fans they may remember Yee as an 'AP' player for the Princeton Posse this year.

Congratulations to both Laine and Nick on their accomplishments. Good luck in the future gentlemen!
