GROUP ISSUES YEAR END AWARDS
Princeton & District Minor Hockey Association hosted their final event of the season with an annual general meeting and Awards Banquet on Tuesday, April 11th.
The Midget Player of the Year Award went to Jay Bell.
Colton Williams and Nick Yee shared Bantam Player of the Year honours.
The Kurt Krenn Memorial Trophy 'For the Love of the Game' went to Taylor Esselink.
The Don Chadney Award for Most Sportsmanlike Team was presented to the Mac Lind Logging Pee Wee Team.
The Wolf Hauschild Memorial Trophy, for Outstanding Dedication and Contribution to Minor Hockey, went to Barry Ovington.
Kevin Williams was named Coach of the Year with the Presidents Choice Award going to Jeanie Williams.
The 2006/07 Election of Officers saw Dean Johnston elected President with Kevin Kelbert Vice President. Sandy Yee is Secretary and Dale Hladun Head Coach. Darrell Leochko was named Head Referee, Richard White is Treasurer, Susan Johnson is Promoter with Linda Thompson - Registrar and Patty Allison - Ice Ambassador. Dave Palumbo is Risk Manager.
The three appointed positions were filled: Steve Smeaton - Equipment Manager, Heather Herrick - Tournament Director and Susan Johnson - Fundraiser.
