POSSE GM TURNS HOBBY INTO A CAREER
The Alberni Valley Bullbogs announced June 3rd that they hired Princeton Posse GM Blair Noel as their new Business Manager.
Noel was also the General Manager of Princeton Wood Preservers Ltd., a position he assumed in 2001.
Alberni Valley Bulldogs President, and former Princeton resident, Andy Oakes raves about Noel's Posse contributions.
"Blair was responsible for all the initial setting up of the franchise including forming a society, recruiting directors and volunteers, hiring coaches and raising operating funds."
The Valley First Princeton Posse also won their Division Title last season.
"Blair's background of forestry and hockey in a small community will allow for a quick transition into Alberni," Oakes says.
"He will work with our existing office staff, Laurie Smillie and Noreen Pelk, in all areas of business development."
Oakes adds, "We feel that having Blair involved in our day-to-day operations in Alberni will take the Bulldog organization to a new level. This position is another piece of the puzzle to ensuring long term viability and success for the hockey club in Alberni Valley."
The Alberni Valley Bulldogs, based out of Port Alberni on Vancouver Island, play in the Junior
'A' British Columbia Hockey League.
