CURLING CLUB RECEIVES GRANT
If you are a regular at the Princeton Curling Club you won't believe your eyes the next time you step into the facility on Highway 3.
A major Capital Improvement Project is underway and funding has come from the Community Forest Corporation.
Club President Shauna Hassell explains the project:
"We (Princeton Curling Club) are looking to improve and upgrade our current building structure and esthetics with safety being our first priority. The main areas of concern are the Ice Level and the Lounge. Smaller but just as important areas include some plumbing downstairs (faucets in kitchen/bathrooms) to upgrade current conditions, installing an office and restructuring a storage room. Outside we are looking at adding a catwalk with awning at the Front Entrance as well as constructing an awning over the LH exterior stairwell."
Councillor Pam Jones presented the Club with a $15,000.00 cheque August 9th in advance of a total $50,000.00 contribution.
