POSSE HONOURS FORMER HOMETOWN PLAYERS

It's a subject that has been debated for many months.

The fact that Princeton's Junior B Hockey Club no longer has a "hometown' boy in a Posse jersey since the 'retirement' of fan favourite Chance Lintick may have something to do with attendance figures at Princeton Arena.

Regardless of what may have kept some fans away, the Posse honoured former 'hometown' players in a big way, although in a quiet manner.

Gerad Norman, who played in the Posse's first season along with Tyler Gunn, and Lintick who played three seasons with the team were each presented free season passes.

Not just for the current season, but lifetime season passes for the Princeton Posse.

Lintick also has the distinction of having his jersey number retired from the team in a ceremony which took place at the beginning of last season.

There's no doubt each of the trio contributed something special and unique to Princeton's hockey club when they were part of the team.

Each of them will be remembered in different ways by the fans who cheered them on and the Posse has recognized these players contributions in a very special way.

Although there is no local boys on the team this season, some veteran players have returned and are considered by many fans and supporters of the team as locals.

It's not the same as having a homegrown boy on the squad, but for now its close enough.
