A LITTLE STAMINA PAYS OFF
Officially registered as "CCR 57G Stamina ET 199S" and born on January 6, 2006 the bull known as Stamina has most definitely 'the right stuff' as was discovered by the Princeton ranchers who have taken him on the road to a variety of shows.
Before we get to the awards, let's visit the bloodline. Stamina's Sire is "RV 20X Boulder 57G" and Sire of Dam is noted as "Remitall Boomer 46B."
The sales details are described in this manner: "Stamina sold one-third semen interest for $36,000.00 to twelve buyers. He also got another $5,000.00 for one-hundred straws of semen to Australia."
What has this animal done for the cattle industry in and around Princeton? Outside of the area you can bet cattle ranchers know more about Princeton than they ever did before.
For example, at Agrifair in Abbotsford this past August long weekend Stamina blew away the competition taking Bull Calf Champion honours.
Copper Creek Ranch, where Stamina resides, also won Senior Female Champion, Junior Champion and Reserve Junior Champion Females.
That's not all, they also took Premier Breeder and Exhibitor, Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion Bulls.
Then at the Salmon Arm Fair in September Stamina took First in Class, Bull Calf Champion Overall Calves and Grand Champion Bull.
Copper Creek Ranch also won Reserve Grand Champion Bull. Their heifer calves placed Second, Third, Fourth and Fifth securing both Premier Breeder and Exhibitor honours.
Could there be something in the water at Copper Creek Ranch?
Then Stamina went to 'the show' not just any show but the biggie known as Farmfair International.
This event brought top breeders and animals from across Canada to determine the best of the best.
Princeton's Stamina did not disappoint. In fact, the bull took most of the major hardware from the National Hereford Show including First in Class, Senior Bull Calf Champion, Bull Calf Champion Overall Calves AND Reserve Grand Champion Bull Overall in Canada!!!
The Grand Champion, for those keeping score, went to a two-time National Champion known as "Remitall Patriot ET 13P."
Congratulations Copper Creek Ranch on your success!
