BEST WESTERN MIDGETS LOSE FIRST GAME
November 24th saw Princeton going up against Penticton at home. This was not going to be a good game for the Princeton team. The special teams struggled to get things going 0 for 3 on the power play.
Princeton opened the scoring with the only goal in the first. Penticton answered with a goal of their own but Princeton took a one goal lead into the third.
This is when Penticton woke up, and we fell asleep. Taking too many penalties Princeton found themselves down 5 to 3.
With 3 minutes left Princeton pulled to within one goal. But once again penalties would be the downfall and we lost 5 to 4.
On Sunday Princeton traveled to Penticton to play a different team. This game was not as hard and the players had come to play.
The team led 5 to 2 after two periods but found themselves playing a lot of the third period short one and two players.
Yet they still managed to hold Penticton off and win the game 6 to 2.
On December 7th to 9th Best Western Midget Flyers will be hosting their home tournament come out and cheer them on as they play their first game Friday at 6:00 PM.
This should be very exciting and fun filled for it is Princeton's first time playing contact. See you all there.
