RODEO CLUB ELECTS NEW BOARD
Princeton Rodeo Club held their annual general meeting December 2nd in Town Hall.
The financial statement showed a very successful year with the Rodeo Club earning a healthy profit on three events organized in the past calendar year.
The May BCRA Rodeo cost the group a total of $32,608.23 to host with revenues collected totaling $42,647.40 leaving a profit of $10,039.17.
The fundraising Trail Ride cost the club $1,302.60 to host, earned $5,320.00 leaving a profit of $4,017.40.
The Bull Riding Finals held in September cost a total of $31,239.71 and earned $38,034.51 leaving a profit of $6,794.80.
The Rodeo Club bank balance was sitting at $26,766.34 at the end of October with some revenue still left to be deposited.
The election of officers saw Ken Crompton elected President for 2008/09 with J. R. Russell Vice President. Directors are Jack Thomas, Brian Rutherford and Shauna Hassell. Past President is Mike Theal.
Judi Esdale was appointed Treasurer with Mandi Thair returned to the Secretary position.
The 2009 Princeton BCRA Rodeo will be the weekend of Saturday and Sunday, May 9th and 10th with the BC Bull Riding Finals tentatively set for the weekend of Saturday and Sunday, September 12th and 13th.
