KRUNCHER COMING SOON TO KEREMEOS

The Second Annual Keremeos Kruncher 50 km Run - to which a 25 km has been added for 2005 - is off and running on Saturday, May 14th.The 8:00 AM Start/Finish is set for Liddicoat Road (at Highway 3A) near the graveyard, two miles North of Keremeos.
Itıs what I like to call "The Running Capital of Canada!!!"
The 50-kilometre course, although not as technical as most trail runs being 98% dirt ranch roads, is still one of the few TOUGHEST in the Pacific Northwest.
What makes this course so challenging is itıs 8,514 feet of climb which will wear down the 'veterans' as well as 'newbies.'
The sport is called ULTRA Running....ULTRA meaning MORE THAN a MARATHON !!!
Most of these folks run on and on and on....from 50-kilometre events to 40, 50 and even 100 miles races SOLO....not team relays but by themselves.
For the most part they are allergic to pavement!
