PSS PRESENTS ANNUAL AWARDS
Last Wednesday Princeton Secondary School hosted their annual Athletic Awards Night at Princeton Legion.
The school fielded a total of 12 different teams, plus a cheerleading squad.
Runner of the Year Award went to Cyrielle Bon. Her plaque was presented by Cross-Country Running Team Coach Bill Lawrence.
Girls Soccer Most Valuable Player was Colby Whelpton with Unsung Hero Award going to Charmaine Aiken and Bianca Maritz honoured as Most Improved Player.
Top Performer for the Golf Team was Jake Greening.
Grade 8 Girls Volleyball Best All Around Player Award went to Rachel Vinthers, with Danielle Temple the Most Dedicated and Miranda Newman Most Improved Player.
Junior Girls Basketball Top Defender Award was presented to Kristie McIvor with Laura Robbins Most Improved Player and Kayley Thomas Most Dedicated Player.
Junior Boys Basketball Award winners were: Clint Freeman - Most Improved; J. J. Shalla - Most Dedicated and Robert Cathro - Mr. Hustle.
Boys Soccer 2005 MVP was Morgan Desabrais with Justin Scott-Walker winning the Hustle Award, Lewis Smith the Top Forward Award and Blake Tarswell the Most Improved Player.
Cheerleader of the Year went to Jessie Beaupre.
Junior Girls Volleyball 2005 MVP went to Meagan Thomas with Shelby Mack Outstanding Player, Kayley Thomas Most Sportsmanlike, Kayla Musgrove received the Hustle Award and Julia Halipchuk was presented the Most Inspirational.
Senior Girls Basketball Outstanding Offensive Player was Jana McKenzie with Ashley Folk Outstanding Defensive Player and Nicole Thomas taking the Hustle Award.
Senior Girls Volleyball Motivational Award went to Nicole Thomas with Jana McKenzie honoured as MVP and Ashley Folk Most Improved Player.
Senior Boys Basketball MVP Award went to Morgan Desabrais, Lewis Smith took Outstanding Player with the Hustle Award going to Michael Bedard.
Grade 8 Girls Athlete of the Year Award was presented to Brittany Clifton.
Junior Girls Athletes of the Year Awards were presented to Meagan Thomas and Kayley Thomas.
Junior Boys Athlete of the Year went to Denis Gutierrez-Ogrinc.
Senior Girls Athlete of the Year Award was presented to Colby Whelpton.
Morgan Desabrais received the Senior Boys Athlete of the Year Award.
