NO WANNA-BE'S AT THIS RODEO!

 This weekend's Princeton Pro Rodeo will feature some of the best competitors in Canada.

For example, in the Saddle Bronc on Saturday is David Reid of 100 Mile House. He qualified for Canadian Finals Rodeo (CFR) on four different occasions.

On Sunday, Lance Mulvahill of Dawson Creek has qualified for CFR six times including 2004.

In Bareback, watch for Travis Whiteside of Longview, Alberta. He qualified for CFR 7 times including 2004 and will be competing Saturday.

On Sunday don't miss Dusty LaValley of Debolt, Alberta. He has qualified for CFR 2003 and 2004. There's also Luke Walker of Vanderhoof, who qualified for CFR in 2004.

In Bullriding, there's a local connection with Chris Sanderson of 150 Mile House. He's formerly from Princeton and will ride on Saturday along with Mike Gill of Merritt, also a former Princeton resident.

Sunday's Bullriding will include Luke Ellingson of Weyburn, Saskatchewan who qualified for CFR four times including 2004. Also watch for Wade McNolty of Williams Lake who is currently in the top five of 2005 standings.

In Tie-Down Roping there's Mark Nugent of Water Valley, Alberta on Saturday. He's a former Canadian Tie-Down Champion.

Steve Lloyd of Quesnel, Canadian Tie-Down Champion for 2003 will also participate Saturday along with Curtis Cassidy of Donalda, Alberta who qualified for CFR TD 7 times including 2004 and qualified for CFR Steer Wrestling 6 times, as recent as 2003.

Marty Becker of Cardston, Alberta will compete Sunday and qualified for CFR 11 times including 2004. He also qualified for National Rodeo Finals (NFR) 2 times.

In Steer Wrestling, watch for Justin Guenthner of Consort, Alberta on Saturday. He was the 2004 Steer Wrestling Champion.

Also on Saturday there's William Beierbach of Maple Creek, Saskatchewan. He qualified for CFR 2004.

Alex Cripps of Williams Lake, who qualified for CFR 2 times 2003, 2004, will ride Saturday.

Cody Cassidy of Donalda, will compete on Sunday. He qualified for CFR 2 times 2003, 2004 and is currently sitting in 5th place in 2005 standings.

In Ladies Barrel Racing Renee Rae Willis of Princeton will run the barrels Saturday. She has qualified for CFR in 2003, 2004.

Also watch Taylor-Jane Gardner of Douglas Lake on Saturday.

On Sunday Katie Garthwaite of Merritt, is a former NFR qualifier. Also competing Sunday is Braidy Howes of Metisko, Alberta who qualified for CFR in 2004.

In Team Roping Steven Thiessen of Stettler, Alberta and Steve Lloyd of Quesnel qualified for CFR in 2004. They will join the field Saturday.

On Sunday, watch Murray Linthicum of Glentworth, Saskatchewan and Marty Becker of Cardston, Alberta who were the 2004 Team Roping Champions.

Josh Cahill of Clinton and Rod Spiers of Cache Creek, qualified for CFR in 2003. Watch for their performance on Sunday.

Wild horse races will start the Rodeo on both Saturday and Sunday.

Slack on Sunday to start at 9:00 AM with Barrel Racing and Steer Wrestling.

Tickets are $12 for Adults, $10 for Students/Seniors and Children 12 and under Free.
