PEEWEES HOST DOUBLE HEADER

Hockey action Saturday night when Princeton Posse hosted Osoyoos Storm

It was a busy weekend for the Mac Lind Peewees who had two home games on the weekend. On October 15th Princeton played the South Okanagan Flames. The team played really well making some very nice passing plays, and our defense did an excellent job of taking away South Okanaganšs scoring chances.

Goals from Colby Williams, Nathan Garton, and Taylor Esselink saw Princeton take a three to one lead going into the second period. From there Princeton never looked back scoring two more in the second from Jonas Montgomery, and Kraig Leochko. In the third Colby Williams scored her second of the game, with the final score Princeton 6 South Okanagan 2.

October 16th saw Princeton up against a harder team, Westside. This game would prove to be a lot tougher than the last. Westside opened the scoring only 15 second into the game, but Princeton answered right back with two of their own goals by Jonas Montgomery. But once again Westside scored three more unanswered goals till Jonas Montgomery put his third of the game in the net. The period ended with Westside 5 Princeton 3. In the second there was end-to-end action with both teams trying to gain the upper hand. Jessie Murray and Ryan Hearty played an excellent game between the pipes turning away numerous shots.

Princeton Scored the only goal of the second period and that was by Keaton Ashley. Jonas Montgomery scored his fourth goal of the game to bring his team even with Westside, and then at the twelve minute mark Colby Williams gave Princeton the lead. This lasted for four minutes before Westside scored to tie the game and then score once more to take the win. The final score was Westside 7 Princeton 6.

Everyone played an excellent game let's see if we can keep up the good teamwork!

BANTAMS SPLIT WEEKEND GAMES

It was a busy weekend for the K&M Trucking Bantams playing two home games. The first saw them up against Summerland who had beat them the follow weekend. This was to be a different story.

Summerland opened the scoring only a minute into the game but Princeton answered right back with their own short-handed goal from Bryce Markin. Princeton scored two more to end the first period 3 to 1.

Princeton then continued to out score their opponents every period, Princeton proved to be the better team this day winning the game 8 to 3. Points for this game went to Bryce Markin 4 goals 2 assists, Colton Williams 2 goals 4 assists, Vian Maritz 1 goal 1 assist, Scott Schwartz 1 goal, and Milen Wilkenson and Shawn Hearty each with an assist.

On Sunday the Bantams played host to South Okanagan #1. The whole team seemed to have lost their drive to win with South Okanagan dominating every aspect of the game.

The team could not muster up enough strength to even keep the game close it was a poor effort, but this is what we can build on. The final score was 11 to 5.

Points for the game went to Colton Williams 2 goals 2 assists, Bryce Markin 2 goals 2 assists, Shawn Hearty 1 goal 1 assist, Vian Maritz 1 assist.
